Welcome to the Littlehempston-Totnes cycle path campaign website. We are a group of community minded local residents that wish to be able to walk and cycle safely between Totnes and the villages to its north.
This website aims to bring you the latest developments in the campaign for a safe cycle and walking route for people travelling between Totnes and the villages to the north.
Thanks to all your support so far, this project is now firmly on Devon County Council’s agenda. DCC have funding available for developing sustainable transport, and we really are within sight of this project getting the green light. But DCC need to be convinced that there is overwhelming support before they act. We’re very confident that there is a huge majority out there in favour of making this happen, but we really need you to make your support known.
So please, please spare just a few moments to do three things to help:
- Please sign our e-petition – Comments are very welcome but you don’t have to leave one. As well as providing evidence of support to DCC, this will allow us to keep you posted on developments. Don’t worry – it will only be an occasional email.
- Please email DCC Council Leader John Hart (john.hart@devon.gov.uk) explaining why you would like DCC to get on with this project. It only needs to be a brief email. If you could copy us at petition@littlehempstoncyclepath.co.uk, that would be great. And if you can spare another moment, why not also copy the county Councillor for your area – this is a link to the Councillor listing page
- Please let your friends and family know about this website and ask them to register their support and if you run a local business, or tourist venture, please Get in touch and find out how your letters of support can help make this happen!
